12 Classic Goalie Masks

As a goalie I love looking at the art goalies put on their masks. Each paint job is a unique look at that goalie’s personality! These days the designs and art work are very intricate but when goalies first started adding designs to their masks they may have appeared simple but I think they were each bold and intimidating in their own way. I think you’re really going to enjoy these 12 classic goalie masks!

Dan Bouchard

Dan was picked up by Atlanta in the 1972 Expansion Draft and played there for 8 seasons. This was the mask he wore, red back ground with white, orange and yellow flames.

  1. What about Ed Belfour’s any of masks, they were a work of art. Ed Belfour took goalie masks paint jobs to a whole new level.

  2. Mike Palmateer’s mask came from a kid who sent him a picture of what he should paint on his mask….

    How do you not include Gary Simmons’s Cobra mask from his Seals/Barons/Kings career? Better than a few on this list…
